At The Night Sky, details matter and we have created a system where you can double and triple check the details of your customised product even after you order.
Step 1: Order Placement
Once your order is placed, it will be held for a short review period before entering production.
Standard Shipping: 24-hour hold
Express Shipping: 4-hour hold
This hold time allows you to review your order details—whether it’s a personalized print or a piece of jewelry—before we begin production.
Step 2: Reviewing Your Order
During the hold period, your order page will include a “Process my order” button.
If everything looks perfect, you can click Submit Order to send it straight into production immediately.
Once submitted, your order will skip the remaining hold time and move directly into the production queue. It will be too late to edit after you approve it for processing. At that point, if you email [email protected] customer service may be able to pull the order from the processing system, but a re-do charge will apply.
Step 3: Automatic Submission
If you don’t manually submit your order, it will automatically move into production once the hold time expires:
After 24 hours for standard shipping
After 4 hours for express shipping
Once your order enters production, it can no longer be edited or changed, as each piece is made specially for you. At that point, if you email [email protected], customer service may be able to pull the order from the processing system, but a re-do charge will apply.
Step 4: Production Begins
When your order goes into production, our team begins crafting your custom print or jewelry. At this point, no further modifications can be made to your design, message, or shipping details.
Summary
Step | Action | Timeline | Editable? |
Order Placed | Order created and held for review | 24h (Standard) / 4h (Express) | ✅ Yes |
Manual Submission | Customer clicks “Submit Order” | Anytime during hold | ❌ No (after submission) |

Tip
We recommend reviewing your order carefully during the hold window—check names, dates, and details—to ensure everything is perfect before submitting. If you need to hold it for longer you can use the hold button in your order confirmation email. Please note that when you hold an order yourself, customer service will need to remove the hold once you are happy to send the order for processing.
